Short Term Programs
Experience educational and recreational American culture firsthand by living with a host family for 1–5 weeks.
Programs Abroad

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Vocational Scholarship Program allows U.S. high school seniors to spend the year after graduation in Germany pursuing vocational interests.
Outbound Opportunities
American students can learn the culture and language of a foreign country by living with a host family and experiencing their daily life and activities
NISS
The Nacel International School System (NISS) is a network of K-12 schools offering an American-style education around the world in countries throughout Asia, as well as in France and the United States.
What Are Host Families Like?
You will stay with host families who are carefully chosen and screened by NOD representatives in communities across the United States.
These families welcome students into their lives as a member of their family. They provide room and board as well as the care and support necessary for students as they learn and adjust to life in the U.S. Students have the opportunity to take part in family activities and are encouraged to make the most of their opportunity to learn about everyday life in America from their host family.
What Kind of Support Do Students Receive?
Students are well supported throughout their stay in the U.S.
Local representatives place students with families and then continue to support the students throughout the duration of the program. Student advisors are also available to students for additional support at anytime it is required. This network of local representatives and students are also supported by the NOD national office staff - we are committed to assisting students acclimate to American culture and get the most out of their experience in the United States.
Scholarships Opportunities
Nacel Open Door offers two scholarships each year so that more students have the chance to explore the world through exchange programs.
