Congratulations Nacel Open Door Star, Jonah!
This summer Nacel Open Door (NOD) had the pleasure of welcoming Jonah from France to our three-week immersion program in Philadelphia. Jonah was one of the youngest students to join NOD’s program, at just 13 years old. Despite his young age and this being his first time traveling independently, Jonah successfully embraced our culture and bonded very well with his host family. Jonah had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of activities during his visit including visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art, boating in Ocean City, New Jersey, visiting a planetarium in Reading, hiking, playing chess, swimming, and going to a baseball game, which was one of the highlights for him.
His outgoing personality and zest for knowledge helped Jonah to make this a wonderful experience for all. His host Mom, who thinks someday he will become famous, had the following to say about Jonah, “Hosting Jonah was a lot of fun. He and I seemed to like many of the same things, so keeping him entertained was easy. I hope to have the opportunity to visit France next year, as it is a dream for me. If Jonah comes back to the USA, he will always be welcome to stay with me.”
Congratulations, Jonah, and thank you for being one of NOD’s Stars!
