Academic Year Program Local Representative Training
Welcome to Nacel Open Door’s online Academic Year Program Local Representative Training!
We are excited to have an amazing team at Nacel Open Door who work together to fulfill NOD’s mission of promoting international understanding and language education. The U.S. government started the J-1 visa program specifically to further cultural exchange and understanding between the United States and people throughout the world. Our Local Representatives work locally to place international exchange students in schools and with welcoming host families. That means this role is extremely valuable to our students, host families, schools, and to the United States in promoting cross-cultural understanding.
NOD designed this online training to provide all of the information needed to succeed as a Local Representative. There are eight sections that comprise this training, and the pace can be determined individually. Click on the correct training section below to be taken to the presentation and related handouts. Please note that login is required, and details were emailed to each of our new Local Representatives.
This training is specifically for NOD’s Local Representatives. If you are interested in becoming a NOD Local Representative, click here for more information and to apply.
